Meet Dr. Thomia Campbell
Dr. Thomia Campbell is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. During her training, she was inducted into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society and the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. Upon graduating with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, she was recognized by Delta Dental for completing over 100 hours of community service throughout her matriculation and was presented with the Delta Dental Community Service Award. She furthered her education at Howard University College of Dentistry where she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency.
Dr. Campbell was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and later pursued her undergraduate degree in her home state. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Oakwood University. In keeping with her Alma Mater’s motto “Enter to learn, depart to serve”, she has done just that throughout her training and postgraduate years. Dr. Campbell has practiced dentistry and served various patient populations in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Connecticut.
Prior to moving to Atlanta, Dr. Campbell served as the Lead Dentist and Dental Director of Connecticut Valley Hospital, primarily treating patients in the addiction services and general psychiatric program. Here she enhanced her skillset and treated patients utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. In addition, she and her team created and helped implement an infection prevention manual providing a COVID-19 protocol for the admission and treatment of incoming and long-standing patients.
She and her husband Dr. Earl Campbell III, a Gastroenterologist and Advanced Interventional Endoscopist, live in Atlanta. They are the proud parents of fraternal twins and a European Golden Retriever named Titus. In her leisure, she enjoys reading, running, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
